MY NEW OBSESSION courtesy of Dina Silver

LOL I have a new obsession courtesy of Dina Silver fabulous author participating in Authors in Bloom Blog Hop.  I'm determined to complete this contest.  Do I need another kindle? Nope I have 2 one the oldy but goody and a Fire.  Should I win I will give my mother the choice of what she wants. (She deserves it and it will be easier on her arms than a book.)

So you go to allll of the authors websites and collect phrases from a poem that is interesting in parts because sometimes it seems naughty and sometimes nice then there's my favorite that reminds me of Buzz Light Year.  Yes I also made the remark to the author who had that phrase.  I'm almost done even though some authors or bloggers are missing things I've contacted the creator of the hop and she said there were glitches and it's OK and she's impressed I'm almost done with the hop.  Happens when your house is down with the stomach flu.

Any who, there is my obsession for the day.  I gave up Sims Social a bit to learn about all these awesome authors I wouldn't have known about if it weren't for the contest!!!

My previous post had the links if you are interested even in finding out about the authors!  LOVING IT!

Blog Hop! Woohoo I'm having fun!

Review: Optical Delusions in Deadwood by Ann Charles

We come back to visit Violet and her rag tag group.  She is more spunky but the ground is laid for most characters, so, Ms. Charles can explore more of their personalities.

Violet is being followed by a string of vandalism as she tries to sell another house.  The Carharts house is plagued with a long history of murders.  The Carhart's choose Violet because she is willing to sell haunted houses.

Harvey is still cracking me up but watch out for Russel.  He may pop up in conversation.

We learn more about her Aunt Zoey, who Violet and her kids live with.  She has a history with the Fire Chief.  Can't wait to see where that goes.

Natalie still has her claim "staked" on doc who she thinks she is in love with.

Doc is still hot and steamy.

The children were more backdrops this time maybe there will be more of them in the next book.

Ok, now a little rant.  I can handle some cuss words the f bomb here and there.  But the four letter C word I don't like.  It was dropped left and right towards the end.  I do believe there are more creative words to use as a descriptive.  Off my high horse.

I hope this was helpful it is very difficult to review a sequel but there you have it.  I'll do kissed in Paris tomorrow or Friday.<3

Review: Nearly Departed by Ann Charles

If you like a little paranormal, a lot of mystery, some romance and a little comedy this book is absolutely for you!  I loved it.  Girls going missing in Deadwood, S. Dakota that look very much like the main character, Violet's daughter.

Violet is a great character she is normal with kids.  She has nine year old twins Addy and Layne (boy).  She has insecurities about how her body looks. (after having twins myself and knowing exactly how she feels...it's nice to have a character who isn't perfect) Violet is strong willed, witty and sassy.  Not the typical mom you think of in books.  She is a real estate agent who has a month to sell a house before she will be let go.  With a supportive coworker and an annoying butt headed coworker it's a great base for all the mystery in the book.  However, you will want to beat the living tar out of Ray the butt head.  She has 2 men interested and trying to sell one's house and trying to sell a house to the other.  Also, on the man front is Harvey an older man who's house she is trying to sell and Jeff the father of Addy's friend Kelly.   And no female lead is complete without a bff, Natalie.

Wolfgang man number 1 is the dashing rich boy who hires her to sell his mother's creepy clown filled house. He's smooth talking and gorgeous need there be more?

D.R. Nyce "Doc" gorgeous neighbor at work who she is trying to find a house for.  She doesn't want to be attracted to him but boy is the chemistry there but by the end of the book Natalie (bff) has "staked her claim" on him thinking he's the one.

Natalie bff who is swearing off men but reminds me of the a former friend who always ended up going for the guys I liked and knew it.  Though for Natalie's benefit she doesn't know of the "chemistry".  She is a carpenter so go girl power!

Harvey is hilarious most of the comedy in this book has him in the scene.  He has no sensors on what he says.  And watch out for his Bessie.

Jeff the creepy dad of Kelly, Addy's bff.  His wife is leaving him for another girl so he's on the prowl.

Please go on an adventure with Violet and her family and friends to find out who keeps kidnapping the little girls who look like Addy.   It will be well worth your time I finished it in a day and a half.

Thanks for your time.  I believe I will work on my review for Kissed in Paris next by Juliette Sobanet.

I'm back

Now having not one but 2 computers back and a new kindle fire maybe I can keep my blog going.  Things are better mom is home with her heartmate which is pushing blood through her heart since her whole left ventrical is damaged.  So that is amazing!!!
The twins are teething galore which is rough but doable.  Brian this week is participating in Jump Rope for heart to help raise funds for the American Heart Association which is amazing.  Of course the school has another fundraiser going on but I'm going with the one that raises money for AHA and donating equipment to the school.  I've been torn since Brian will hopefully test out of our city Special Education program he'll be going to the school that is for our neighborhood next year.
Later this morning I'll post a review for my book I finished last night.  I want to get my review on here so I can move on to the sequel.  Argh left me hanging....always fun.  I'll also try to go back and do reviews on the books I've read since the last one and my current book which includes Kissed in Paris by Juliette Sobanet on of my fellow chick lit ladies from our group on Facebook.
Well, that is my call I do believe I need to put the twins down for nap soon then I'll post my review while they are asleep.
See you soon

The Lack of movement

You know it's bad when nurses tell you to go to the dr.  It's been 6 weeks yesterday since mom's major heart attack.  Needless to say stress in the entire family is high.  I woke up one morning with the side of my neck stiff. I started stretches etc.... to loosen it and hopefully make it better.  Well, 2 weeks later I am unable to move my neck but a fraction.  In training to learn to help care for my mom and her Heartmate 2 last night the VAD nurse told me to go to dr.  I got an appointment this afternoon and had to cancel.  Now I have to wait til 3pm tomorrow.  But at least I got my own dr.  Thank GOD!  There is a Doogie Howser at the practice who think he knows all.  He wouldn't give me antibiotics while I was pregnant with the twins but he wanted to put me on cough meds with codiene!!!  Excuse me?!? Needless to say I suffered until the sinus infection went away.

I know I'm rambling. I'm sorry, but I started a new book today and I'll post a blog review as soon as I'm done.  I believe after I finish this book and finish my training for caring for mom, every other book I'm going to go back and read my favorites and post reviews on those.  What do you think?
